Live fast, design faster.

In early 2020 before the pandemic shut everything down, Yikes Design hosted a screen printing workshop at KINK Contemporary for Valentine’s Day. We created three card designs, prepped our screens, and prepared to teach a group of people how to screen print for the first time. We started the workshop by educating our guests about the screen printing process and gave a demo on how to pull a screen. Guests then chose from a selection of paper and envelopes, and ink colors, and decided on which designs they wanted to print on their cards. We assisted everyone as they printed to make sure the process went as smoothly as possible. To help everyone create unique cards, we provided markers, gel pens, glitter, stickers, and other materials to get creative with.

As a take-home item, we designed and screen printed a two-sided tote bag to commemorate the event and filled it with some Yikes goodies. It was a wonderful joyous time :’)
